New Job!

Aug 31, 04:19 PM · from the mouth of John

Hello Everyone!

Well, after thinking this over for the past week or so, and after enough offers and counter-offers to make me feel like a car in a used car dealership, I decided to leave my present job with Webster Bank and accept a position with Open Solutions in Glastonbury. I’ve been with the same company for 6 years and they’ve treated me really well so it was a real difficult decision. Yet my new job will help me further build upon my educational and professional paths. I will be working directly with different banks and credit unions analyzing, troubleshooting and training on the different software that they use for their lending platforms.

I’m very excited yet also very nervous since i’m leaving my comfort zone, but I really feel that this move was necessary.

I start on the 13th or so of September, as long as my background check is okay, haha, lets hope that thing a few years ago with public nudity doesn’t show up.

Well wish me luck!

John

Okay, so I forgot how to log in, so here’s a comment, rather than an article. (by the way, I don’t know what I’m doing or talking about).

So I got a new job too!!! Woohoo! (thanks Jake for telling us how to bold!) Yeah, I’m moving from a company with 16,000 emlpoyees to one with two (soon to be three). I interviewed at this place called 93 Octane (www.93-octane.com… you can go there and look at the logo, but the site’s not up yet). Anyway, it’s a small (clearly) design firm that works with Circuit City and Capital One (can I ever escape?!) among other smaller clients. They work out of the back of the owner’s house. Yeah, THAT doesn’t sound sketchy! But really, they are two cool guys and the place is cool and the work is cool. I just needed to get away from the lack of job security and inability to be creative. So yeay! My first agency job! I haven’t formally accepted their offer yet, but assuming I do, I’ll start at the middle/end of September.
