I'm famous!

Dec 9, 12:31 PM · from the mouth of Andy

Hey Boys,

Holy hell, this site is dead! Not even any comments for a couple weeks – what’s wrong with us?!

Anyhoo, the stars have aligned to make today especially important/fun for me. I guess.

There is an article about me in today’s Town Times. Check it out!

Also today is my third anniversary with Lisa. We’re gonna go see a Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor tonight, and then do some other stuff…... (wink wink, nudge nudge)

ALSO tomorrow I’ve got another wind ensemble concert.

ALSO since it snowed so much today I got the day off from school. Yipee!! But that unfortunately means I’ll be spending my afternoon digging my car out. =(

And speaking of all things white and creamy, who’s gonna be around for xmas? I’ll potentially be in CT from the 23rd to the 28th, then I’m spending New Years with Lisa’s family in Ohio. I’d love to see you guys!

Someone say something!

-Andruicus

Interesting read, I imagine that’s related to the lady you met with at the fair. Of course for us guys around here we’ve known you so long it’s more like re-reading a book for the 5th time. ;)

No day off for me of course, bleh.

And of course I will be around, not surprising, but I am taking the week days off from work. So I’ll be off from the 23rd to the 3rd of January.

Well said, Jake. Is was sort of like re-reading a book I know very well. I don’t ever remember playing “Imperatrix” in the Pollies though… memory refresh?

Well Andy, sappy as it sounds, I’m proud of you and proud to have you among my best friends. sniff

As for Christmas, I don’t really know my plans yet. I’m 99% sure that I’ll be coming home, but don’t know for how long. I’ve got the whole week between Christmas and New Years off, but Jess unfortunately has to work on the 27th. So, we’ll probably come North on the 24th, but after that it’s a little shady… We’ll either both drive back on the day after x-mas, or she’ll fly home alone and I’ll stick around up there for a while longer. If that’s the case, I DEFINATELY want to get together.

I’ll let you know when I know more.

Yeah, there were certain factual errors and omissions in the article.

For instance, I never snuck out of second grade to play instruments. One time I left the classroom and went to the school library because I wanted a BOOK on instruments. I already had one out, so I convinced the librarian to let me take it out in Mrs. Dyer’s name.

Also, that “Imperatrix” thing is true, except she cut off the quote in such a way that the language is confusing. The opening of “Imperatrix” was the inspiration for the opening of the Pollies song “Happy”, which I’m sure you remember.

Finally, in listing my extra-musical activities, she left out the part my beer hobby. BTW, has anyone been able to find Buffalo Bill’s Pumpkin this year? It’s nowhere in NYC!

She asked me specifically about my teachers, but I hope you all realize that you’ve influenced my development as well, and not just in Pickled Pollies. Jake helped foster my early composition interest by letting me play with Mario Paint at his house (remember that?). Jim got me to appreciate good classical music on a good stereo. Ty always amazed me with his wide-ranging musical tastes and huge CD collection – I’m still trying to catch up! Bryan has kept me glued into the metal scene – any of you have the new System of a Down album? And of course, John has inspired me by sending me videos of April in the shower.

I’m glad you guys will be around for xmas. Let’s definitely hang!

I definately remember playing Mario Paint at Jake’s!!! More specifically, I remember drawing an animation of a guy pooping into a toilet, and Mr. Harvey coming in and seeing it. Jake told me the next day that his parents thought I had a sick mind. (Guilty).

As for Buffalo Bill’s Pumpkin Ale, I’ve got it here in VA. I love it, although my VERY favorite seasonal is now out: Harpoon’s “Winter Warmer”. Ahhh. But that ain’t nothin. Wait till you have a tase of this year’s crop of Nevins Homebrew: “Hop-Head Pale Ale”!!! I’ve already tried one and it’s great! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Hurray for Andy! Hurray for Andy! Somebody in the crowd is shouting Hurray for Andy! 1…2…3…4… who ya gonna yell for? Andy! That’s whooo…

    [and happy late anniversary]

::sniff:: I wish we could be there too. I decided I like you people. You’re funny and poor Jimmy needs his friends. Too bad we don’t want to live in Connecticut ;o) That’s okay, we’ll be having a Coloradah Festivus. Wish y’all could come.

    Our address is:
    1130 Alter Way
    Broomfield, CO 80020

Maybe y’all should make a section of this website to keep your up-to-date contact info in. Might need to be password protected though. You could even add cool things like birthdays and stuff.

Ty, you did send the package to the right address though, thanks so much to you and Jess! You will receive proper thanks hopefully in January.

I’m almost done with finals!! Hurray! I think I’m going to die from a severe case of senioritis… but it’s all good.

We’re off in 15 days to Seminar at Sea to cruise around Central America… http://www.semesteratsea.com/seminar2005/index.html
We might be updating my old blog while we’re gone and might upload some pictures, maybe, if we know we’ll have an audience so let us know if you’re interested ;o)

    Luv,
    Sarah
