Ale

Oct 31, 10:54 PM · from the mouth of Andy

You all need to try Buffalo Bill’s Pumpkin Ale.

It’s Halloween. I haven’t really done much for it – Friday I had to dress up for school, so I just slapped on a black jacket and called myself “Lurch”, but other than that I’ve been a little bit of a “Halloween Humbug”.

So I was out grocery shopping tonight, and there was this beer I mentioned sitting on the chilled beer shelf. I don’t usually like pumpkin things (I know: FREAK) but I thought I should give it a try given my relative lack of Halloween cheer so far. So I took some home and tried, and it was freakin’ tasty! It’s like pumpkin pie without the funny texture, plus a good dark ale-y brew flavor. And it’s cold and frothy – mm, mm, good!

Really I’m telling you all this because I’m putting off writing tomorrow’s lesson plans.

Crap, did I just type that out loud?

-Lurch

Yes, I myself am in love with the Pumpkin Ale. My local natural food store has been carrying it since early September. Dang, if that ain’t some good shit!

If you like that, you’d love Harpoon Winter Warmer. Oh, actually I had it at my party the other day, so you probably tryed it there. But Jimmy, diet or no, you should try this beer too. Just have one. Then run a mile the next morning. No biggie. I can’t handle this whole dieting thing. I’ve been trying. I think I’m going to invent the next fad diet… All beer, all the time! Just don’t eat much food. And extra points if you drink yourself into puking.

    Ale update

Tonight I found a six-pack of Buffalo Bill’s Orange Blossom Cream Ale. Brought to you by the same brewery that brought the famous Pumkin Ale Andy mentioned above, this this fantastic brew is made with honey, orange peel, and orange blossom. It’s great! It’s like orange soda made sweet sweet love to a well crafted beer, and this was the spawn.

Suggestion for the website. Beer. We have a page we can all log in our newly aquired beers, the story behind them, taste, etc. What do you think?
WHat should we call the sub page though? I suggest, “Always a good decision” – yes it rips off Sam Adams, I know

Could you guys elaborate, I can make a section devoted to Beer, but would we want it organized different? In it’s simplest form we’d just post the same as we do now only specify that section and posts would appear there instead of in the general news…

Maybe we could subcategorize the beers too. make a chart that does a light to darness scale. For example, Corona on one end, and Guiness on the other. That way we can get insite into the individual beers light to darknessnessness. ness. Let’s make it similar to the posting that we do here. type in:
    name:
    darkness scale:
    opinions:

Lets put some cheezy animated guy drinking a beer and puking right after. A touch of cornynessnessness. ness.

Hmmmm…. perhaps a page that’s permanently ancored to the main page (unlike the individual posted pages, which get pushed back when new posts appear). Under the link, maybe there could be a thing that says the last time it was updated and by whom. That way we would know if anybody updated it recently. But I don’t know what I’m talking about. Don’t bother if it’s too much work… we can always post beer finds the way we have been.

    Beer!
